For the past decade, I have wanted to start a do-it-yourself blog. I got busy with clients and life and would continually put it aside. I would do projects here or there for myself, friends, or family. Everyone would want to know how I did it. Then I would start to think again... Hey, that blog... I should do that. Then again with life... Laid off from my job. Start a new career. Have a baby. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. (Except for the baby. I only had one.)
I paint a lot and a lot of different things. I mean everything. I even painted a sofa once. I'm constantly making things and figuring out how ideas in my head can come to life. Recently, I've started setting aside time to make and create again.
With creating more, it's been placed on my heart again to just jump in an actually do a blog. No more excuses. No more worrying that people wouldn't like what I did. After all, this is my process.
Every New Year instead of a resolution, I have a word to work on the whole year. This year, my word has been "fierce". While there have been some moments in 2017 where I feel I have been "fierce", there are way more moments where I have been comfortable. So, I'm stepping outside of my comfort zone and doing something that is totally new. Here I am being FIERCE.
I want to show you the things I'm working on in my house while helping show you what you can do in your own home. It's my goal to be transparent with you and show you successes, as well as total failures. I hope to make you feel Rae at Home.
